About the role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting comprehensive policies and procedures that allow the Company to measure, analyze and mitigate all types of risks.
  • Establishing the level of risk the Company is willing to take.
  • Ensuring sound culture of risk management within the Company by training staff to develop the appropriate experience to manage all types of risks.
  • Ensuring daily control of all activities, to make sure that they are within the limits and margins identified in the Risk Management Policy.
  • Developing contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Reviewing new contracts and business proposals.
  • Preparing risk management budget.
  • Reporting periodically to Senior Management about weaknesses that might show up when applying the Risk Management Policy and suggesting appropriate recommendations.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Financial and Banking Administration, Business Administration or Statistics.
  • Training certificates of at least 50 hours.
  • Certification in Risk Management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Iraqi regulations set by the Central bank.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle private, sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • 30+ years old and holder of Iraqi nationality.
